Appointment for 2 days with Marlene for an initiation or refresher course on orientation, map and compass.

Saturday 13th May

8.30am to 9am: Welcome
9am to 10am: Presentation of the course, the trainees...
10am to 12pm: Orientation exercises, work on the legend, scale. Establishing the relationship between map and terrain
2pm to 3pm: In-depth exercises on map reading, legend and scale
3pm to 5pm: Orientation in "easy" terrain: building landmarks

Sunday 14th May

8.30am to 9.30am: The equipment: compass, gaiters...
9.30am to 12pm: Using the compass, building a route
2pm to 4pm: Orientation in more "complex" terrain: reading the difference in altitude, building a route
4 to 5 pm: Stretching, recovery...

Coach:
Marlène is a qualified PE teacher and has a 1st and 2nd degree state certificate in swimming, CAFFA (certificate of aptitude for the functions of academic trainer) and a master's degree in STAPS with a specialisation in education and motor skills.

Several years of intensive practice in triathlon and duathlon (national level, 5th place in the French long distance championship and victory in several triathlons, duathlon championship in division 1 by team, victories in aquathlon, 3rd in the Sainte Lyon race, victory in the challenge des trails de l'Est). Inter-regional level in swimming and orienteering.
