Every year, Mémoire de Sornay perpetuates the medieval tradition of the Reugnes. Volunteers are mobilised for this traditional festival, with an exhibition of old objects, wooden games, demonstrations of skills, traditional dances and songs. The evening will end with the lighting of the fire, which is what makes this event so special: bush cuttings and scrub from the previous year are burnt to celebrate the arrival of spring and ensure a good harvest. As well as feasting your eyes and ears, you'll be able to (re)discover the tastes of the Bresse countryside with a spread of strong cheese, old-fashioned waffles and a tasting of gaudes and noah. Bring the whole family and enjoy the festive atmosphere!
