The Almaviva Cello Quartet was born of the friendship of four tenured cellists from the Stuttgart Opera, including its two French co-soloists, and was formed in 2023 during an evening concert at the Kunstverein Museum in Stuttgart. Such was the warm response from the audience that the idea of performing more regularly and exploring new repertoires took on a life of its own.
Driven by the desire to promote their instrumental virtuosity, the opera repertoire they know inside out, and their eclecticism in crossover arrangements or film music, for which they are passionate, The members of the Almaviva Cello Quartet have been invited to perform at a growing number of prestigious venues in Germany and France, including the Stuttgart Museum Night, the Stuttgart Opera Chamber Music Season, the Ludwigsburg Festivals and the French Institute in Mainz.
