A true gateway to Burgundy’s natural treasures, the museum invites visitors of all ages to explore biodiversity through an interactive exhibition, a fascinating cabinet of curiosities and a park that rounds off the visit.
A museum where nature can be experienced and explored hands-on
Designed as a space for sensory exploration, the Centre Eden offers an immersive experience at the heart of natural habitats. Hands-on activities, observations, interactive displays and fun activities punctuate the visit. Each room offers a lively introduction to the region’s flora, fauna and ecosystems, allowing everyone to understand nature by experiencing it first-hand.
‘Night’ exhibition.
Night is a natural phenomenon that has always fascinated humankind. It is synonymous with mystery and can enchant as much as it can awe, whether you’re young or old.
The exhibition takes visitors on a journey to discover the starry sky, a forest teeming with nocturnal creatures, and a tranquil space exploring sleep and dreams... before concluding with the myths and monsters of the night.

- 2.30 pm ‘POLARIS’.
James, a travelling penguin from the South Pole, and Vladimir, a funny bear from the North Pole, meet on the Arctic ice floe. As budding astronomers, they wonder why the night is so long at both poles of the Earth. Their curiosity leads them to adopt a scientific approach by forming hypotheses and testing them. By building an observatory and a spaceship, they will be able to further their study of the planets. Their journey will take them into orbit around the Earth, Mars and Saturn, helping them to understand that, whilst the planets have things in common, they also have differences.
- 4.00 pm ‘LUCIA, THE SECRET OF THE SHOOTING STARS’.
Two explorer friends, Vladimir the polar bear and James the South Pole penguin, see their duo become a trio when they meet Lucia, a young hummingbird just as curious as they are. This time, their curiosity is piqued by the phenomenon of shooting stars. Where do they come from? How are they formed? Why do they burn up in our atmosphere?
