- Plants and Legends" temporary exhibition
Nature has frightened and intrigued mankind for thousands of years. It has always fascinated us, inspiring legends, stories and beliefs. The plants and fungi found in nature have always been of great importance for their healing powers, as messengers of messages, and as objects of magic and mystery. This power is often based on observation and knowledge of the medicinal virtues they contain. But it is also often embellished by beliefs, superstitions or even,
magical rituals.
Plants with prodigious virtues, mythical trees, magical herbs, bewitching flowers, witches' potions and love potions - this exhibition will help you discover the deep connection between man and nature, and the way in which nature has always played a part in our lives.
and how it has always played a central role in our culture and imagination.
Exhibition conceived with Diane Loury and the participation of :
Mourka Glogowski, Sylvia Corpet, Rachel Bonin, Isabelle Blanc, Romane Liodenot, l'École primaire de Cuisery, le Collège les Dîmes de Cuisery, le Lab71, le Musée de préhistoire de Solutré.
