Self-guided tour of the patients’ wards and a quick tour of the pharmacy.
To mark European Heritage Days, the Hôtel-Dieu de Louhans is opening its doors to the public. Visitors will be able to wander through the wards, soak up the atmosphere of this former hospital and discover its history. Throughout the day, enjoy quick tours of the dispensary and the apothecary.
Special opening of the laboratory.
The laboratory doors are open to the public! This place, where remedies were once prepared, reveals its secrets and immerses you in the heart of pharmaceutical production.
Sensory workshop: ‘In the footsteps of the apothecary nun’
Put your senses to the test with a self-guided activity: try to recognise the various ingredients used by apothecaries and discover their uses and properties.
Photo exhibition ‘From hospital to museum, through the lens’
To celebrate the bicentenary of photography, the Hôtel-Dieu is revealed through the lens!
Long a place of care and devotion, it has been transformed into a space for remembrance and sharing. Through old and contemporary photographs, the exhibition traces the many facets of the site and those who brought it to life.
An invitation to discover a heritage that is still very much alive!

The Louhans Theatre is celebrating its 90th anniversary! Opened in 1936, this Art Deco-style theatre, nestled in the heart of the arcades, is opening its doors to the public to mark European Heritage Days.
Explore the auditorium at your leisure and step into the shoes of an actor as you tread the boards.
It’s your turn to take centre stage!
Whether with family, friends or on your own, come and test your knowledge of the theatre, its terminology and its superstitions!
