This course is aimed at children aged 8 to 14 who want to learn about astronomy: two afternoons, one day and two evenings of observations to learn the basics of astronomy: orientation, the solar system, the moon, the movements of the earth, etc. The programme includes planetarium sessions, instrument handling, model building and games. A logbook will be issued at the start of the course to help them keep track of their progress and, at the end of the course, they will be awarded a certificate and the "Little Dipper" card after an assessment with their instructor. Bookings required.

Ouvertures22 and 23/07/2025 from 2pm to 4.30pm. 24/07/2025 from 10am to 4.30pm with evening viewing.
Bring your lunch on 24/07/2025. Meet at the Eden Centre at 1.45pm on 22 and 23/07/2025 and at 9.45am on 24/07/2025.
