In a welcoming setting, the château is hosting a drinks reception and exhibition dedicated to a species as unassuming as it is fascinating: the Eurasian night heron, a breeding bird found along the banks of the Doubs and in the agricultural plains.
Through an exhibition of photographs and kakemonos, discover the scientific monitoring work carried out since 2021 as part of a national programme led by the EPTB Saône et Doubs and the Natura 2000 sites. Conducted at around twenty sites across France, this study aims to gain a better understanding of the habits of this migratory bird, which is closely associated with open, semi-steppe habitats.
Speakers from the EPTB Saône et Doubs and the LPO Bourgogne-Franche-Comté will present the species, the monitoring methods and the measures implemented for its conservation.
