The problem is also that times change, fashions come and go, so the dogs don’t bark any more because they prefer caravans, and the public’s expectations are evolving. Aware of these realities and buoyed by the success of their first tour, Oskar Aoko and Viktor Lekrépu have been working flat out. They’ve brought out the electric guitar, the recorder and the moonwalk, international pop stars and composers unjustly overlooked by younger generations, from Queen to Johann Pachelbel. Did you say rock ’n’ roll? Yes, but not only that, as Oskar and Viktor are more at odds than ever with value judgements and the notion of genre hierarchies. Through a fusion of ideas, words and notes, and sudden leaps from one topic to another - or to any other animal within their reach - in short, true to their taste for the ‘not-so-bad’ mix, they sing as others run or shoot: in every direction.
