The flat has been converted into a gîte for a couple or a family of 4. It is located on the 1st and top floor of a small communal building in the centre of the village of Beauvernois. It's a peaceful place to spend a few days, or weeks, resting or exploring. A Voie Verte (green route) is just 2 km away, offering routes for walking, rollerblading or cycling. Horse-riding and donkey rides are offered by 2 village associations. Nature is just around the corner from your accommodation: numerous signposted or interpreted footpaths will take you on a discovery of the characteristic environments of Bresse: ponds, forests or meadows. You can also meet many local people who will open the doors of their farms or craft workshops, such as pond fish farming, glass or leather work, within a radius of a few kilometres of the village. Of course, you can also relax on the banks of the various nearby lakes, the Doubs and the Loue or the Jura lakes. Lovers of culture and heritage will be delighted with this location between Burgundy and Franche-Comté, where you can visit major heritage sites such as the Château de Pierre de Bresse, the Arc et Senans saltworks, the Abbey of Baume les Messieurs, the village of Chateau-Chalon, the market and arcades of Louhans, and also sample the gastronomy of these 2 wonderful regions: Bresse poultry, Jura and Burgundy wines, Comté cheese, pond fish, etc. We look forward to welcoming you to our region.
