It's a quiet, restful place in the heart of gently undulating countryside, full of bucolic spots, rivers, ponds, forests, meadows and cereal fields. With its beautiful views of the Revermont and Jura mountains, it's an ideal place for nature walks.
Mouthier-en-Bresse is centred between Poligny, Dole and Lons-le-Saunier within a 30 km radius.
Chaumergy is 9 km away, and Pierre-de-Bresse and its 17th-century Château - Burgundy's little Versailles - and its eco-museum are 12 km away.
Bletterans, a lively town with a colourful Tuesday market, is 17 km away.
